Editorial Accountability

Brand Transparency Tracker

GroundingMatrix contacts every brand in our database with the same 5 questions. No brand is told what to answer — we publish responses verbatim or note when a brand hasn't replied. Transparency score is the percentage of questions answered.

Brands are contacted via their official support channels. Response deadline: 30 days. Non-response is recorded as no answer, not as a negative response. Last outreach round: July 2026.

The 5 questions we ask every brand
1
Do you publish verified conductivity/resistance specifications for your products?
2
Have your products been tested by an independent third-party lab?
3
Do you disclose where your conductive materials (silver, carbon, copper) are sourced from?
4
What is your return policy for customers who don't notice grounding effects?
5
Do you offer a product warranty, and what does it cover?

Why transparency tracking matters

Grounding products are health-adjacent purchases — buyers are making decisions based on trust. A brand that won't disclose conductivity specs, sourcing, or return policies is asking for trust it hasn't earned. GroundingMatrix believes buyers have the right to know which brands are willing to be accountable and which aren't.

Non-response is not penalised in our Trust Score — a brand that hasn't answered our questions yet is treated the same as one that simply doesn't have a public email response team. But we believe publishing who responds and who doesn't creates a healthy accountability incentive. The brands that engage publicly with independent reviewers are typically the ones most confident in their products.
