What does "continuity" mean?

A grounding circuit requires an unbroken conductive path from the Earth (via your outlet's earth port) through the cord to the mat surface and into your body. Any break in this chain — wrong outlet, loose cord, thick clothing — stops the circuit. This tool identifies where your chain breaks.
