Why 30–60 minutes?
Research on earthing (Chevalier et al., 2012; Oschman et al., 2015) consistently shows measurable physiological effects — reduced cortisol variability, improved sleep onset, reduced inflammatory markers — after sustained daily grounding of at least 30 minutes. Occasional use produces occasional results. The calculator uses effectiveness multipliers (0.7–1.0) derived from conductivity comparisons between grounding methods.
